High resolution images and photographic prints 

High-quality photographic prints of photos that appeared in Black White Read, Hollywood/Santa Monica edition are generally available. Prices are as follows:

Retouched photographic prints:

• 4×6: $5 (new lower price)
• 5×7: $10 (new lower price)
• 8×10: $20

Matted and framed prints, photo mouse pads, photo coffee mugs, and more are also available. Contact the photograph editor for prices on these items and to place all print orders.

Original high resolution digital photograph image file, unretouched: $5

Retouched digital photograph image file: $10

(Retouched photograph images and prints will be color-corrected and cropped, at minimum. Other retouching may be done, if warranted for a better photograph.)

Email the photograph editor to request a reprint. Please include the title and the URL of the story with which the photograph ran. The URL is in the address bar of your browser, and will look like http://hollywoodsantamonica-dallas.blackwhiteread.com/view/article/xxx. Also include a brief description of the photograph, if more than one photo ran with the story. 

Permission to use web images 

All photographs in Black White Read, Hollywood/Santa Monica edition are copyright by Black White Read, Hollywood/Santa Monica edition, or by such other person or organization as noted in the photograph credit. Upon request, Black White Read, Hollywood/Santa Monica edition will routinely grant permission to the subject(s) of any of our own photographs that ran with a story in our online newspaper. We do not charge for this use, but if you reprint the photograph, it must carry the credit, “Photograph courtesy of Black White Read, Hollywood/Santa Monica edition (http://hollywoodsantamonica-dallas.blackwhiteread.com).”

We will usually not grant permission for such use in advance of the publication of the photograph online, nor will we typically grant permission to people unrelated to the subject of the photograph.

When permission is granted, we will email you a digital image file. This file will be exactly as the photograph ran in the online newspaper: the same size and resolution (72 dpi). Please note that such photographs are typically not appropriate for high resolution printing needs.
